BUSINESS · ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE

AI-powered training, without the usual hype

You’ve been promised that AI will revolutionize your company’s training. What almost nobody tells you is where it truly helps and where it just produces more junk, faster. Here we tell you both — and we build the courses where it actually changes the outcome.

01 · THE DEFINITION

What is AI-powered training?

It is the use of artificial intelligence at two distinct moments of the process: in course production, where it speeds up scripts, case variants and materials; and in the learning itself, where it enables conversational practice, immediate feedback and paths that adjust to each person’s progress. Everything else sold under that name — churning out generic courses at volume — is just producing the problem you already had, faster.

The confusion is understandable. Since 2023 the market has filled with tools that turn a PDF into a course in eleven minutes. The result is real, and it is impressive the first time you see it. The problem shows up three months later, when you look at the data: people log in, race through, pass, and keep working exactly the same way. Producing content was never the bottleneck; getting someone to change what they do — that is.

02 · WHERE IT HELPS

Where does AI genuinely add value in a course?

In four concrete places. If an “AI training” proposal is not talking about one of these, it is talking about something else:

APPLICATION 1

Conversational practice

The upset customer who never gets tired, the difficult candidate, the patient who doesn’t understand. Your people practice twenty times the conversation they used to rehearse once a year in a workshop.

APPLICATION 2

Immediate feedback

Explaining why a decision was wrong in the very second it was made, not in next week’s review. It is the difference between correcting and scolding.

APPLICATION 3

Paths that adapt

Whoever already masters a topic skips it; whoever struggles gets more practice on exactly that. No more one-size-fits-all course that bores half the group and loses the other half.

APPLICATION 4

Accelerated production

Scripts, case variants, support materials. With human review on every piece: AI does the heavy lifting, and the judgment comes from someone who has actually taught.

03 · WHERE IT DOESN’T

Where don’t we use artificial intelligence?

This list has cost us projects, and we stand by it anyway, because it is the reason the courses we deliver actually work:

04 · THE RESULTS

What changes in practice when AI is used well?

Three concrete things, and none of them has to do with how spectacular the platform looks:

CHANGE 1

More hours of real practice

Practice stops being limited by an instructor’s calendar. Whoever needs ten rehearsals gets ten rehearsals — at eleven at night, if that’s when it fits.

CHANGE 2

Data you can decide with

Not “completion percentage”: which specific decision most people get wrong. That data tells your operation what to fix, not just whom to nag about finishing the course.

CHANGE 3

More courses for the same budget

Accelerated production frees up budget, and those savings go to what actually moves the needle: more practice and better assessment.

05 · THE STARTING POINT

Where do you start without betting the whole budget?

With a tightly scoped pilot — and we recommend this even to companies that arrive with budget approved for something much bigger. You pick one course where practice is clearly the bottleneck — usually a difficult conversation: the price objection, the customer complaint, the collections call — and build it complete, with conversational practice and learning data from the very first cohort.

The pilot answers in weeks what no slide deck can: whether your people log in without being chased, whether the practice changes what they do in front of the customer, and whether the data tells your operation anything useful. With those three answers in hand, the decision to scale stops being an act of faith and becomes arithmetic.

It is also our way of working with you without asking for blind trust up front. We’d rather you approve the second phase looking at results than looking at slides — and if the pilot doesn’t convince you, you keep a course that works and owe us nothing.

What does your company need for this to work?

Less than people think, but not zero. Three things, and none of them is technological:

06 · THE UNCOMFORTABLE QUESTION

What about the privacy of company information?

It is the first question any serious IT department asks, and it gets answered at the start of the project, not in the fine print. We define with you which information can touch external tools and which is handled in isolation, all under the project’s confidentiality agreement. Your sensitive content does not enter any public model without your explicit written authorization.

In practice, much of the critical content — internal processes, cases with client names, policies — can be worked on without exposing it, and the rest is anonymized before touching any tool. We prefer that uncomfortable conversation at the start over a call from your legal team halfway through the project.

07 · OUR STANCE

Artificial intelligence, human pedagogy

It is our brand signature and also the literal description of how we work. AI is in our name because it genuinely changed what we can produce and at what cost. Pedagogy is in the same sentence because without it, AI only accelerates mistakes.

Whoever promises you courses without instructional design is selling you volume. Whoever tells you AI is useless hasn’t produced a course in three years. We stand in the only honest place: use it where it adds, review it always, and tell you clearly which part of the work a machine did and which part was done by someone who has actually taught. This is how we design in three acts, and this is how we apply it in corporate academies and in corporate universities.

Frequently asked questions about AI training

What is AI-powered training?

It is the use of AI at two distinct moments: in course production — to speed up scripts, case variants and materials — and in the learning itself, with conversational practice, immediate feedback and paths that adjust to each person's progress. What it is not: generating generic courses at volume and calling it innovation.

Does AI replace the instructional designer?

No, and whoever says otherwise has never seen the result. AI doesn't know where your operation hurts, which mistake costs money, or what can be forgiven in an assessment. It produces quickly what someone else decided; the pedagogical judgment — what to practice, what to measure, what to cut — remains human. That is why every piece that leaves our production goes through review.

Does our data go into a public model?

Not without your explicit written authorization. Your operation's sensitive content is handled under the project's confidentiality agreement, and from the start we define with you which information can touch external tools and which is handled in isolation. It is a conversation we have at the beginning, not fine print.

Does AI work for training frontline staff?

Yes, and sometimes that is where it pays off most: mobile practice in short capsules, immediate feedback without waiting for the supervisor, and content that adapts to the pace of someone just learning the process. The condition is designing for their real context — shifts, noise, busy hands — not for an office.

How much does AI lower production costs?

It lowers them for real, especially in producing variants, scripts and support materials, which lets you have more courses for the same budget. But we don't sell it as an automatic discount: the savings go into more practice and better assessment, which is where a course is won or lost.

Do you offer courses on how to use AI at work?

Yes: it is one of the academies we get asked for most. We design and produce your company's online AI literacy course, with cases from your own teams and the usage rules your organization decides on. We create it and deliver it running — we do not teach it live.

Does this work on the LMS we already have?

In most cases yes, and we always check before proposing you change anything. Some advanced conversational practice features require additional integration, and we tell you clearly what can be done on your current platform and what cannot. We don't sell platforms, so there is no commission behind the recommendation.

We tell you where it works and where it doesn’t, before charging you a thing

Tell us what you want to train. We’ll tell you which part genuinely benefits from artificial intelligence and which is better solved with good design, period.
